PLASTER FIGURINE

We are going to sculpt some little figurines for the pharaohs to have in their next lives.

Vamos a esculpir algunas figuritas para que los faraones las tengan en sus próximas vidas.

Usually, people has photographs of their beloved ones but pharaohs in their tombs had figurines.

Normalmente la gente tiene fotos de sus seres queridos pero los faraones en sus tumbas tenían figuritas.

Also could be dolls or toys if the deceased one was only a child.

También podían ser muñecos o juguetes si el fallecido solo era un niño o niña.

These were not figurines but canopic jars and as I said at class, they were used to keep pharaoh organs safe and fresh.

We also can do these ones as they were very important in pharaoh’s funerary trousseau.

Estos no eran figuritas si no que eran vasos canopos y, como dije en clase, se usaban para mantener los órganos del faraón bien conservados.

También podemos hacer estos vasos ya que eran muy importantes en el ajuar funerario del faraón.
