LOOM

Textile industry was very important in this revolution and one of the great innovations of this age were automatic looms.

So today we will build a traditional loom to appreciate how this innovation changed everyones lives.

TELAR

La industria textil fue muy importante en esta revolución y una de las grandes innovaciones de esta era fueron los telares automáticos.

Así que hoy construiremos un telar tradicional para entender cómo esta innovación cambió las vidas de todos.

Materials:

• Cardboard
• Wool
• Scissors

You can use pieces of cloth, recycled plastic bag or string instead of wool.

Materiales

• Tijeras

Como sustituto de la lana se pueden tejer trozos de tela, bolsa reciclada o cuerdas.

SEWING

As we said before, textile industry was very important in this revolution so we will continue working with this.

First of all we will draw two simple patterns: Trousers and t-shirt.

Como decíamos antes, la industria textil fue muy importante en esta revolución así que continuaremos trabajando con esto.

Lo primero, dibujaremos dos simples patrones: pantalones y camiseta.

After this, we will cut this pattern and copy it into a piece of cloth to sew it. Please follow carefully teacher’s guidelines and if you have any doubt please write an e-mail as it is difficult to explain the process for everyone’s way of learning.

Después de esto, cortaremos este patrón y lo copiaremos en un trozo de tela para coserlo. Por favor, sigue con atención las explicaciones de la profesora y si tienes alguna duda, escribe un e-mail porque es difícil explicar el proceso adaptado a todas las maneras de pensar.
